I have played volleyball at the varsity level for the 2005, 2006 and 2007 seasons, and have been the starting middle in the 2006 and 2007 seasons. I earned First Team All District honors my junior year (2006) in volleyball and also earned the MVP award for the 2006 season. During my senior season, I earned Second Team All District honors.
I have played club volleyball for three years. The 2005-2006 club season I played for Dallas Sting 17 Navy as a middle hitter under Coach Steve Hutcheson. The 2006-2007 club season I played for Dallas Summit Kaepa 17 team as a right side under Coach Steve Carrera. During the 2007-2008 club season, I am playing on TAV's Metro Black 18 team.
I attended the Ruth Nelson volleyball camp for two weeks during the summer of 2007 where I really focused on fundamental skill development. I am currently training in Ruth Nelson's Dare to Compete program in January and February.
I have also earned awards in other sports: 2005 Honorable Mention All District in Softball, 2006 Second Team All District in Softball, 2007 Honorable Mention All District in Basketball.
Personal: Daughter of Jerry and Elaine Hadaway. Born Jennifer Rene' Hadaway on May 12, 1990, in Dallas, Texas. I am an only child.
Other Information About Me
I have been a three-sport athlete throughout high school, but over the last two years, I have focused on volleyball and have pursued volleyball outside of school sports. I have played volleyball since the 7th grade, but I started playing basketball and softball in elementary school. Playing sports has always been a huge part of my life.
Academically my interests are in physical therapy, sports medicine or education. I think I would like to work with kids with prosthetic limbs. I am working hard toward taking my volleyball game to the next level so that I can play for a college/university where I can pursue my academic interests.
